Job Description

Director of First Impressions Position Summary The Entry-Level Private Banker serves as the Director of First Impressions for our boutique private bank and plays an important role in creating the personalized, high touch experience our clients expect. This position is ideal for someone who genuinely enjoys working with people, takes pride in providing exceptional service, and understands that small details can make a meaningful difference in a client relationship. The successful candidate will be warm, personable, professional, responsive, and comfortable interacting with clients in person, over the telephone, and through email. This is an entry-level banking position designed to provide a strong foundation in private banking and client service. The role will provide hands-on exposure to teller functions, cash handling, day-to-day account servicing, client communication, administrative responsibilities, and general branch operations. The successful candidate does not need extensive banking experience. We are looking for someone with a strong work ethic, positive attitude, willingness to learn, excellent interpersonal skills, and a genuine desire to provide an exceptional client experience. Key Responsibilities Serve as the welcoming first point of contact for clients and visitors, creating a professional and personable experience from the moment they enter the Bank or contact us by phone or email. Answer and direct incoming telephone calls in a professional, courteous, and timely manner. Respond to routine client emails and requests or appropriately route them to the appropriate Bank team member. Greet clients and visitors and assist with their needs while maintaining a warm and professional environment. Perform teller responsibilities, including processing deposits, withdrawals, payments, transfers, and other routine banking transactions accurately and efficiently. Handle cash and negotiable instruments in accordance with Bank policies, procedures, and established controls. Assist clients with routine account servicing requests and ensure requests are handled accurately and timely. Assist with administrative and operational tasks that support the Private Banking team and overall branch operations. Maintain accurate records and documentation and ensure information is completed and processed in accordance with Bank procedures. Assist with scanning, filing, copying, mail, document preparation, and other day-to-day administrative responsibilities. Assist Sr. Private Bankers and other team members with client requests and follow up on outstanding items as directed. Develop a working knowledge of the Bank's products, services, systems, policies, and procedures. Recognize client needs and appropriately refer questions or opportunities to the appropriate Sr. Private Banker or other Bank team members. Identify and escalate unusual transactions, discrepancies, client concerns, or other matters to the appropriate manager or Bank personnel. Protect confidential client and Bank information and exercise appropriate discretion when handling sensitive financial and personal information. Follow all Bank policies, procedures, operational controls, and applicable regulatory requirements. Maintain a clean, organized, and professional client-facing environment. Participate in ongoing training and development to build knowledge of banking products, systems, client service, and operational procedures. Work collaboratively with the Private Banking team and provide support wherever needed to ensure a seamless client experience. Demonstrate a willingness to learn new responsibilities and take on additional duties as experience and proficiency develop. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or relevant experience is a plus. Previous banking, retail, hospitality, customer service, or cash-handling experience preferred but not required . Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills. Warm, friendly, and personable demeanor with a genuine interest in helping others. Professional appearance and communication style. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to handle cash and financial transactions responsibly. Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks. Comfortable using computers, email, Microsoft Office, and other technology. Willingness and ability to learn banking systems, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Dependable, punctual, and accountable. Ability to work effectively as part of a small, collaborative team.

The right candidate may be early in their career and does not need to have extensive banking experience. We are more interested in someone who demonstrates excellent customer service instincts, attention to detail, professionalism, and a willingness to learn.
