Our Senior Member Relationship Officer plays a pivotal role in advancing and directing initiatives to cultivate relationships with current members and potential prospects within our communities. Building upon the foundational responsibilities of the Member Relationship Officer, this senior position is crucial to designing and delivering exceptional member experiences. The Senior Member Relationship Officer is accountable for elevating wallet share through engagement efforts, both inbound and outbound. This role ensures the maintenance of an exceptional standard of quality in member experience through service delivery. Key responsibilities encompass managing service requests, fostering relationships, addressing problem resolution inquiries, and providing support with teller functions. Lead in determining members' financial needs and recommending advanced and appropriate products and services. Spearhead educational initiatives for members on an expanded range of products and services, including features of online and mobile banking. Strategically create cross-selling opportunities to exceed branch and individual sales goals. Efficiently manage lobby traffic by identifying members' needs, facilitating sign-ins, and overseeing wait times. Build, develop, and maintain positive relationships with members to enhance overall member experience. Demonstrate an advanced and comprehensive understanding of all credit union products, services, promotions, policies, procedures, rules, and regulations. Oversee and ensure the accurate and efficient processing of a variety of transactions, upholding the highest standards of compliance with credit union policies and regulatory requirements. Process a variety of transactions, including deposits, transfers, withdrawals, and account maintenance, in accordance with credit union policies and regulatory requirements. Handle tasks related to IRAs, Term Shares, loans, and other financial products with accuracy and efficiency. Create and expand new and existing business banking relationships. Analyze business members' needs and maximize relationships through business banking products and services. Must comply with all company policies and procedures, applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control. Experience Demonstrate confidence in educating members with holistic banking solutions to meet current and future needs. Applies strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills to meet member needs. Familiarity in time management techniques to prioritize workflow to create a dynamic experience for the member, and work with efficiency delivering consistent productivity. 3+ years with a proven track record in a sales environment, consistently meeting or exceeding goals and objectives, operating in a consultative framework. Displays passion, commitment, and drive to deliver the best solutions that improve the financial circumstances of our members. Education/Certifications/Licenses Four year degree required, or 5+ years of experience in lieu of degree. Experience must be in a financial organization with emphasis in consumer lending and a consultative sales and service role. Interpersonal Skills A significant level of trust, credibility and diplomacy is required. In-depth dialogues, conversations and explanations with customers, direct and indirect reports and outside vendors can be of a sensitive and/or highly confidential nature. Communications may involve motivating, influencing, educating and/or advising others on matters of significance. Other Skills Excellent organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills. PC proficient, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and the Internet. Excellent verbal, written, telephone and interpersonal communication skills. Must possess a service orientation and be willing to sell products and services. Ability to manage multiple projects/priorities simultaneously in an effective manner. Ability to function in a financial institution branch environment and utilize standard office equipment including but not limited to: fax, copier, telephone, etc. Requires intermediate mathematical skills (calculations and concepts involving decimals, percentages, fractions, etc.). Has the focus, persistence, positive outlook, and discipline to meet the personal demands of a sales/service role.
