We are seeking an experienced and client-focused Personal Banker to join Cleveland State Bank. In this role, you will build strong relationships with clients, support them with their everyday financial needs, and provide knowledgeable guidance on the products and service that best fit their goals. The ideal candidate brings hands-on personal banking experience, excellent attention to detail, and a genuine commitment to delivering exceptional service. You will assist with account openings, transactions, and compliance requirements while identifying opportunities to help clients strengthen their financial well-being. This position plays an important role in creating the positive, relationship-driven banking experience our clients expect and value.Key Responsilbilities:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients.
- Understand client needs and recommend appropriate banking products.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues.
- Promote and sell bank products, including checking/savings accounts.
- Identify cross-selling opportunities to enhance customer financial well-being
- Assist clients with financial transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, payments and check cashing.
- Issue money orders, cashier's checks, and other financial instruments.
- Maintain confidentiality and ensure all banking regulations are followed.
- Verify customer identification and authenticate transactions to meet compliance standards.
- Open and manage accounts while ensuring accurate documentation.
- Adherent to banking regulations and company policies.
- Detect and prevent fraud by following security protocols.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Minimum Requirements:
- Strong organizational, communication, time management, and problem-solving abilities are essential.
- At least a year of previous experience in the financial industry.
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask.
- Knowledge of banking regulations and financial products.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, changing environment.
- Basic math and cash handling skills.
- Excellent communication skills face-to-face, on telephone, and online.
- Willingness to learn and expand knowledge in various banking software.
