Job Description

Billing Specialist - Government Contracts Temporary | Part-Time (15-20 Hours/Week) $40-60/hr | Burlington MA KBW Financial Staffing & Recruiting has partnered with an organization seeking a Billing Specialist - Government Contracts to provide part-time support for its federally funded programs. This role will focus primarily on billing, reimbursement submissions, accruals, and financial documentation related to a BARDA agreement. The ideal candidate will have experience with government contracts, grants, federal billing, or reimbursement-based programs and be comfortable independently managing detailed financial documentation and coordinating with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and submit BARDA reimbursement packages accurately and within required deadlines Compile invoices, cost documentation, supporting schedules, and other financial records required for reimbursement Prepare monthly accruals related to the program Review costs for compliance with the BARDA agreement and applicable federal requirements Maintain organized supporting documentation for billing, reimbursement, reporting, and audit purposes Coordinate with Finance, Accounting, external consultants, and internal project teams to gather information and resolve billing questions Assist with tracking and forecasting program costs throughout the remaining life of the project Support additional government contract billing and reimbursement activities as needed
Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in billing, accounting, finance, government contracting, or project finance Experience with government contracts, grants, or federally funded programs strongly preferred Experience preparing invoices, reimbursement requests, accruals, and supporting financial documentation Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field preferred Strong Excel skills with excellent attention to detail Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and follow through on outstanding items Strong communication skills with the ability to coordinate across Finance, Accounting, consultants, and project teams BARDA or other federal contract billing experience is a plus If you are interested in this opportunity, please email Dalton Rolli at drolli@kbwfinancial.com for immediate consideration.
