Job Description

Full-time, W-2, in our Bloomfield Hills office at least three days a week.
PAY:
$55,000 to $250,000 a year, depending on the track you choose and what you produce.
THE SHORT VERSION
You were trained well. You know how to run a discovery meeting, build a plan, and ask for the business. What nobody gave you was people to meet. If you're one to five years into a seat at Edward Jones, Northwestern Mutual, Ameriprise, Merrill, Morgan Stanley or a firm like them, and you're tired of door-knocking, calling your natural market, or waiting on referrals that never come, this seat was built for you. We have more qualified retirement prospects booking with us than our calendar can hold. Our online tax webinars run every week, our Facebook and YouTube campaigns run every day, and the people who come through them book Zoom reviews with us. We are adding an advisor who can take those meetings, run a good Zoom appointment, and turn a webinar attendee into a planning client. You will not cold call, buy leads, knock on doors, or fill a room. Our webinar and video funnels do the marketing. You do the advising.
TWO WAYS TO GET PAID. YOU PICK.
Track 1
  • Salary plus revenue share. For an advisor who wants a floor while they build.
  • $55,000 base salary
  • 30% of revenue on clients the firm brings you, 50% on clients you bring yourself, from the first dollar
  • Uncapped annual bonus that steps up every $25,000 of revenue you produce ($30,000 at $275,000) Track 2
  • Higher payout, no base. For an advisor with a book, or the experience to not need a floor.
  • No base salary
  • 45% of revenue on clients the firm brings you, 60% on clients you bring yourself, from the first dollar
  • Same uncapped bonus Either way, the leads, the admin support, the office, and the licensing costs are on the firm.
The difference is how much of the risk you want to carry, and how much of the upside you want to keep. We will talk through which one fits in the first interview.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
  • Take firm-booked Zoom and phone appointments with people 55 and over who registered for our tax webinar or watched our training video, and turn them into planning clients
  • Build Retirement Roadmaps:
the tax bill inside the IRA, Roth conversion timing, Social Security and Medicare timing, income that lasts
  • Place advisory business through our RIA and fixed insurance business through our agency
  • Occasionally present at one of our dinner seminars if you want to. We handle registration, setup, check-in, and booking. You give the talk. Not required, and not how you'll build your book
  • Service and grow your own book while our admin team handles applications, transfers, and carrier paperwork
WHAT WE PROVIDE
  • A full calendar of firm-sourced webinar and Zoom appointments from day one
  • Admin and new-business processing so you are planning and closing, not doing paperwork
  • Our CRM, planning software, marketing engine, and a Bloomfield Hills office
  • Firm pays your Series 65 registration, IAR registration, and state license renewals
  • 15 days PTO available in full from your start date, plus standard holidays
WHAT YOU BRING
  • Series 65 (or Series 7 + 66) and a Michigan life and health license, or the ability to obtain both before start
  • 2+ years in a client-facing advisor seat. A big-firm training program counts. What matters is that you have sat across from real clients, presented real plans, and closed real business
  • Working knowledge of IRA tax planning, Roth conversions, and retirement income, or the training to pick it up fast. We will teach you our process
  • You are good on camera. Most of your first meetings will be on Zoom with someone who has never met you
  • Fiduciary mindset. You explain, you don't pressure, and you would rather lose a sale than recommend the wrong thing
  • Clean U-4 / regulatory history
  • Comfortable presenting to a room when asked
HOW TO APPLY
Apply on Indeed with a resume and tell us which track you'd lean toward. Include two numbers from your last 12 months: your first-appointment close rate and your average new-client size. Real numbers, even if they're small. Then record a two-minute video on your phone explaining a Roth conversion to a 62-year-old, as if they were sitting across from you, and include the link (unlisted YouTube, Loom, or Google Drive is fine). That video is the first interview. If it goes well, the next step is 30 minutes on Zoom, then an in-person meeting at our office. Panic Proof Retirement and Bridgeriver Advisors are equal opportunity employers.
