Christian Financial Credit Union began more than 75 years ago as St. Jude Parish Credit Union in Detroit and has since grown to serve more than 60,000 members with more than $1 billion in assets. Today, membership at Christian Financial is open to anyone who lives in the State of Michigan. Christian Financial offers high-quality, high-value products and services to promote convenience, trust, and personal service for members. The credit union offers comprehensive financial services beyond typical retail consumer services through ownership of a mortgage company and a commercial loan company. In July 2025, the credit union merged with Catholic Vantage Financial and continues to grow to serve Michigan residents with a promise of Everyday Easy®. Christian Financial Credit Union is seeking a Licensed Investment Representative to help employees, credit union members and new clients reach their financial goals by providing them with exceptional personalized service and appropriate financial solutions. This individual will service an existing book of business while generating new clients.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Identify and evaluate customer and employee needs for financial services, assess the objectives and goals of the individual, then develop an investment strategy to implement. Proactively market and support all aspects of assigned credit union. Identify and develop relationships with Wholesalers Keep current on investment products and services offered Develop and maintain long-term relationships based on trust and respect for clients, employees and members. Follow through on the sales goals set forth by the Investment Program Manager Provide regular feedback to the branch employees, identified credit union executives and Program Manager regarding sales practices and business development initiatives. Provide excellent customer service. Periodically meets with client to review and update client needs ensuring investment objectives and goals are progressing according to plan. Meetings to take place either monthly, quarterly and/or yearly depending on client needs established by Representative. Follow the rules and regulations set forth by the credit union, FINRA, SEC and the broker dealer Address and solve business-related challenges as needed Drive investment and credit union integration initiatives, e.g. branch training, etc. Supports Company Mission and Corporate Values EDUCATION and/or
EXPERIENCE
Desired Qualifications:
A college degree and minimum 3 years financial services industry experience Active FINRA Series 6 or 7, 63/65 or 66 licenses and Michigan Life and Health Insurance Licenses Exceptional sales orientation and in-depth investment knowledge Requires professional, well-developed oral, written and interpersonal skills necessary for communicating with members, visitors, callers, vendors and co-workers Great organization skills Strong presentation skills along with a strong work ethic are also required. Previous experience working in credit union or community bank environment preferred.
COMPENSATION
Guaranteed fixed base salary and benefits with potential for commissions.
