Role Description The Personal Lines Insurance Advisor is a full-time, on-site role based in Lancaster County, PA. In this position, the advisor will assist clients with personal lines coverage such as auto, home, and other individual insurance products, providing guidance on policy options, limits, and pricing. Daily responsibilities include assessing client needs, preparing quotes, processing applications and renewals, and maintaining accurate policy records. The advisor will respond to inquiries, manage policy changes, and support claims processes by coordinating with carriers and clients. This role also involves proactive outreach to existing and prospective clients, ensuring high levels of customer service and contributing to the agency's growth. Qualifications Insurance knowledge and experience in personal lines coverage, with the ability to explain policy features and options clearly. Basic understanding of finance and risk principles to help clients make informed coverage and budgeting decisions. Consulting skills to assess client needs, recommend suitable products, and build long-term advisory relationships. Strong customer service and communication skills to provide responsive support, handle inquiries, and resolve issues professionally. Relevant state insurance license (or eligibility to obtain one within a defined timeframe). Prior experience in an insurance agency or related financial services environment is beneficial. Proficiency with office software and agency management systems, with attention to detail in documentation and data entry. Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, maintain confidentiality, and follow regulatory and company guidelines.
