(IAI) is a leading actuarial consulting firm serving clients throughout the Pacific Northwest and the country. We specialize in Defined Benefit and Defined Contribution retirement plans for small businesses. We are currently in need of a DC plan consultant with a minimum 5 years of experience. Role Description This full-time Defined Contribution Plan Consultant role is a hybrid position based in the Portland, Oregon Metropolitan Area, with some flexibility to work from home (up to 40% of weekly schedule). The consultant will support and advise clients on defined contribution plans, including plan design, implementation, and ongoing administration The role involves collaborating with internal team members to resolve complex plan issues, providing clear explanations of technical topics, and identifying opportunities to improve plan efficiency and participant outcomes. The consultant will also assist with special projects, process improvements, and periodic training or communication initiatives related to retirement plans. We are in need of a consultant who will comfortably and confidently take on the following specific responsibilities: Provide superior client service and communication Assist clients with studies, plan design and implementation Review/process loan and distribution requests Determine contribution amounts and limits Perform top‐heavy, coverage, ADP & ACP testing, and general non‐discrimination testing (cross‐testing) Reconcile assets/trust accounting Draft Form 5500s and other retirement plan related tax forms Strongly preferred skills and attributes: Ability to organize and prioritize; to set and meet deadlines Knowledge of correction methods under Self-Corrections and Voluntary Correction Programs Excellent verbal and written communication skills Familiarity with ERISA and IRC provisions and regulations and other DOL/IRS publications related to tax‐qualified retirement plans Proficiency in Excel, Word, and Adobe Acrobat Experience with Datair is a plus, though not required ASPPA, NIPA or similar credential(s) All positions at IAI are contingent upon the successful completion of a criminal background check and Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) records check.
