About the Opportunity New York Life's North Dallas General Office is looking to connect with driven, entrepreneurial individuals who may be a fit for a Financial Advisor Development Opportunity. This path is designed for people who are interested in building a client focused financial services practice, developing professionally, and helping individuals, families, and business owners make important financial decisions. The first step is a preliminary screening conversation before any formal application process. This allows us to learn more about your background, goals, and potential fit before moving forward. What You Will Do Build relationships with individuals, families, and business owners Learn how to identify financial needs through client conversations Help clients explore protection, retirement, and long term planning strategies Develop prospecting, communication, and business development skills Participate in training, mentorship, and professional development Work toward required licensing if selected to move forward Build a long term career path within financial services Develop leadership and business building skills over time based on performance and fit Who We Are Looking For We are looking for candidates who are: Entrepreneurial and self motivated Coachable and competitive Strong communicators Comfortable meeting new people and starting conversations Interested in business, finance, leadership, or client service Motivated by personal growth and long term opportunity Able to operate with discipline, consistency, and professionalism Prior financial services experience is not required for every candidate. Backgrounds in sales, leadership, athletics, hospitality, recruiting, real estate, mortgage, business ownership, management, and other client facing roles may translate well.
Qualifications Must have:
Must currently reside in the Dallas Fort Worth area or be able to work from the North Dallas office Must be authorized to work in the United States Must be willing and able to obtain required state insurance licensing if selected to move forward Strong communication and relationship building skills High level of personal accountability and professionalism Comfortable meeting new people, starting conversations, and building relationships Coachable, competitive, and motivated by personal growth Preferred, but not required: Bachelor's degree Experience in sales, business development, client service, recruiting, real estate, mortgage, hospitality, management, athletics, entrepreneurship, or leadership Prior experience in a commission based, performance based, or client facing role Demonstrated ability to set goals, follow a process, and stay consistent over time Interest in financial services, business ownership, leadership, or long term career growth Strong professional presence and ability to build trust with others Existing insurance or securities licenses are helpful, but not required Training and Development Selected candidates may have access to training, mentorship, leadership support, and development resources designed to help them understand the financial services business and build the skills needed for long term success. For selected candidates who move forward, licensing support may be available. Any licensing, selection, contracting, or appointment decisions are handled through the formal process and are not guaranteed.
Compensation Estimated annual compensation range:
$60,000 to $125,000 per year. This is a performance based opportunity that may include commissions, allowances, bonuses, and other compensation opportunities where applicable. Compensation is not guaranteed and will vary based on individual activity, production, eligibility, and performance.
