Position Summary Capital River Wealth Management is seeking an organized, detail-oriented Investment and Planning Associate to support the firm's financial planning process and investment operations. This role serves as a key liaison among advisors, clients, and internal partners, ensuring the timely execution of planning initiatives and investment transactions. The Investment and Planning Associate will be a vital member of the team and will play an integral role in fostering collaboration across advisors, clients, and internal business partners, maintaining exceptional client service standards, and supporting the firm's needs by driving operational efficiency, accuracy, consistency, and alignment throughout the client experience. Essential Functions Execute financial planning and investment operations to enhance advisor productivity and client service. Demonstrate the ability to learn and effectively utilize new software and tools to improve productivity and client experience. Play a major role in accomplishing the goals for the Wealth Management Advisor's practice, as determined by the Advisor. Position Responsibilities Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Planning Support:
Prepare and distribute presentation materials for clients and prospective clients with a high degree of accuracy using proprietary software. Interact with the team and clients to obtain required information to complete or update financial plans. Monitor the advisor's calendar and upcoming client meetings to ensure required planning analysis and investment materials are prepared in advance. Prepare and distribute client annual review documents. Serve as a liaison between the advisor and the planning support team. Maintain a high level of organization while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.Investment Operations Support:
Serve as a liaison between clients and the investment services team for all investment transactions, where applicable and when appropriately licensed and compliant. Review all prepared investment paperwork for completeness and accuracy prior to sending to clients for electronic signatures and execute disclosures when needed. Manage and track the electronic signature process for investment and annuity-related documentation. Coordinate all completed paperwork with the internal team and verify that all required documentation is received and processed. Manage and assist clients with required minimum distributions (RMDs), periodic distributions and cash flow needs. Serve as a liaison between clients and the appropriate departments to expedite the underwriting review and funding processes for annuity products. Respond to investment-related communications from clients via telephone, email, and mail. Inform appropriate team members as needed to assist the client. Assist and track client investment service requests, including account updates and document requests. Leverage investment software systems.Administrative Duties:
Prepare for and participate in weekly team meetings. Track the status of client opportunities by proactively identifying next steps and gathering required documents. Maintain accurate records of all servicing activities and client communications. Report to the Associate Wealth Management Advisor on assigned projects as needed. Work toward earning the appropriate industry licensing and credentials (more details below). Hours & Location This position is based in our office in Frederick, MD and offers remote flexibility. Normal business hours are 8am-5pm, Monday-Friday. Compensation & Benefits Compensation for this position will be based on relevant work experience, qualifications, and licensing. The position is eligible for health insurance coverage and other employee benefits. Salary range is $62,000 to $80,000 annually, commensurate with relevant experience, education, professional licensing and qualifications. Qualifications Candidates for the Investment and Planning Associate role must have the following credentials: 2-year or 4-year college degree preferred. Recent graduates and candidates with 1 to 3 years of relevant work experience will also be considered. Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to communicate with clients, peers, and corporate contacts in a polite and professional manner. Strong organizational skills. Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively. Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and OneDrive. Strong computer, data entry, and keyboarding skills with an ability to quickly adopt new software systems. Ability to prioritize and work in a fast-paced environment. Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality. Professional Licensing Requirements Candidates for the Investment and Planning Associate role must be able and willing to obtain the required professional licensing within their first year of employment. Costs associated with obtaining these licenses will be covered by Capital River Wealth Management. Maryland Life and Health Insurance License (obtain within 6 months of employment) Series 6 & 63 Securities Registration OR Series 7 Securities Registration (obtain within 1 year of employment) Candidate must have the ability to pass a background check.Pay:
