Job Description FHN Financial is seeking is seeking a Municipal Analyst to join its Municipal Strategies Group in Memphis, TN. This role offers a unique opportunity for an early-career professional to develop deep expertise in municipal credit and market strategy while working directly with experienced analysts, traders, and sales professionals. The Analyst will play a key role in producing actionable insights for institutional investors and will gain exposure to both credit analysis and market strategy in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Responsibilities Maintain and enhance FHN Financial's proprietary database of municipal issuer financial and economic data Develop foundational expertise in municipal credit analysis, including financial statements, economic trends, and sector dynamics Translate analytical work into clear, actionable insights for sales and trading teams Assist in the development of new tools and products to identify risks and opportunities in municipal securities Partner with the Public Finance Group to support issuer RFPs and broader customer engagement efforts Proactively identify investment themes and opportunities aligned with client portfolio strategies Contribute to internal and external publications and presentations What You'll Gain Hands-on experience in one of the largest and most complex fixed income markets Direct exposure to institutional customers, trading desks, and senior strategists A structured opportunity to build technical skills in credit analysis, market strategy and data analytics Mentorship from experienced professionals and clear opportunities for growth within the firm Early responsibility and the ability to see your work directly impact investment decisions Qualifications Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, mathematics, accounting, computer science, or a related field Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a desire to learn financial markets Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail working within sell-side, trading floor conditions Self-motivated and able to manage multiple priorities with limited oversight Strong written and verbal communication skills Interest in financial markets, public finance, or macroeconomic trends Experience with or interest in data analysis and programming (e.g. Python, R, or similar) About Us First Horizon Corporation is a leading regional financial services company, dedicated to helping our clients, communities and associates unlock their full potential with capital and counsel.
