Martin Wealth Solutions | Christiansburg & Roanoke, VA Retirement Planning | Wealth Management | Fiduciary Advice About Martin Wealth Solutions Martin Wealth Solutions is a growing fiduciary financial advisory firm focused on helping people approaching or living in retirement make smarter decisions with their money. We help clients with retirement income, investments, tax planning, Social Security, Medicare and healthcare planning, risk management, estate planning, and ongoing financial decision-making. We are looking for a Financial Planner who can help deliver an excellent ongoing planning experience to our clients. About the Role This is not a sales role. The Financial Planner is responsible for leading ongoing planning and service for assigned client households. You will work closely with our Wealth Planners, operations team, Medicare/healthcare team, and client service team to make sure clients receive a high-quality, proactive planning experience. This position will serve our clients in Christiansburg and Roanoke. Key Responsibilities The Financial Planner will be responsible for: Leading annual client review meetings Conducting midpoint phone or Zoom check-ins Updating financial plans as client circumstances change Coordinating tax-planning opportunities with the advisory team Helping clients understand retirement income, investments, Social Security, healthcare, and legacy planning decisions Following through on client service items and planning recommendations Maintaining excellent CRM notes, workflows, and documentation Proactively helping retain and deepen client relationships Identifying when a client situation requires senior advisor involvement Supporting a team-based client service model What Success Looks Like A successful Financial Planner will: Build trust with clients quickly Keep client reviews and follow-up organized Communicate clearly and professionally Take ownership of client service issues until they are resolved Document planning work properly Work well within a team-based advisory model Know when to make a recommendation and when to escalate a complex issue Who This Role Is For This role may be a great fit if you: Enjoy ongoing client relationships more than cold prospecting Like financial planning, not just portfolio talk Are detail-oriented without losing the human side of advice Want to be part of a growing firm with a clear service model Believe clients deserve proactive communication and follow-through Want a long-term career path in financial planning This role is not a great fit for someone who wants to operate as a solo advisor, avoid systems, or build their own independent book outside the firm's process.
Qualifications Preferred qualifications include:
Financial planning or client-facing advisory experience CFP designation or active progress toward CFP preferred Series 65 or Series 66 required Strong understanding of retirement planning concepts Comfort discussing investments, retirement income, taxes, Social Security, Medicare, and estate planning at a planning level Strong communication and follow-up skills Experience using CRM systems and planning software preferred High integrity, professionalism, and a client-first mindset Compensation Compensation includes: Base salary Incentive compensation tied to client relationships served Quarterly bonus opportunity based on performance, client service standards, follow-up, planning quality, and team execution Specific compensation will depend on experience, qualifications, and role fit. Pay:
$85,000.00 - $175,000.00 per year
