JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary/Objective The Wealth Assistant is primarily responsible for supporting the business development and service efforts of assigned Advisor representative(s) of Burke & Herbert dba Summit Community Bank Wealth Management who assist customers with investment, estate and general financial planning needs. This position requires the completion of sales and service related tasks and offers various career path opportunities along with the benefits of the structure, security, and resources of a premier community bank. Essential Functions Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. The position requires the ability to interact with clients; collaborate with the bank and wealth management team; manage time efficiently and may call for local travel. The primary goal of the Wealth Management Assistant is to help cultivate and grow financial planning relationships with customers for Burke & Herbert Bank dba Summit Community Bank. In addition to the opportunity to help expand relationships with existing customers, the Wealth Management Assistant may execute transactions, conduct research, and prepare financial plans and presentations. Other Duties 1. Complies with all policies and procedures as applied to the Bank's BSA/AML policy. 2. Perform other duties as assigned. Skills/Abilities 1. Strong written and verbal communication skills. 2. Excellent analytical and organizational skills. 3. Attention to detail and executional excellence. Supervisory Responsibility This position has no supervisory responsibilities. Work Environment This job operates in a clerical office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and scanners. Physical Demands This position requires manual dexterity, the ability to lift files and opening cabinets. This position requires bending, stooping or standing as necessary. Travel Local travel may be required for this position. Education and Experience 1. College degree preferred. 2. Computer literacy required, with an emphasis on using spreadsheet applications along with the ability to learn and develop proficiency using new programs. 3. Industry related licenses such as FINRA Series 6, 7, 63, 65 or 66 preferred but not required. Opportunity to earn industry related certifications may be available.
