SUMMARY OF ROLE
The Sales & Pricing Data Analyst plays a critical role in driving data-informed decision-making by developing and maintaining dashboards, analyzing sales performance, and delivering actionable insights across the organization. This role involves deep collaboration with sales, marketing, finance, and executive teams to assess trends, forecast outcomes, and evaluate the effectiveness of strategic initiatives. A key focus includes conducting pricing analysis to understand market positioning, optimize profitability, and support pricing strategy development through data modeling and scenario analysis. The ideal candidate combines strong technical skills in tools such as Power BI, Oracle EBS, Excel, and Salesforce with a keen analytical mindset and the ability to clearly communicate complex insights to stakeholders. ______________________________________________________________
SPECIFIC JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities:
Develop, maintain, and enhance dashboards and reports using Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS), Power BI, Excel, and Salesforce. Analyze booking and sales data to provide actionable insights and support strategic decision-making. Assess sales data for the organization, including examining monthly, quarterly, and annual sales reports to identify sales patterns and areas for improvement. Compare actual sales data to revenue projections and expectations. Utilize previous sales data and market trends to develop forecasts and projections. Develop reports showing expected sales and the potential effects of new strategies to aid in decision-making. Work closely with marketing, sales, and management personnel to develop forecasts and examine the potential revenue effects of various proposals. Conduct quantitative analysis including but not limited to ROI, trending, identification and assessment of opportunity and risk, forecasting, regressions, correlation, cannibalization, and probability modeling. Regularly prepare internal reports and presentations for executives and other company leaders, including data on market performance, competitor research, and general sales trends. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into data solutions. Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources to ensure data accuracy and integrity. Perform data validation and quality checks to ensure the reliability of reports and dashboards. Identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in data to support business objectives. Create and maintain documentation for data processes, reports, and dashboards. Analyze pricing strategies and their impact on sales performance and profitability. Monitor price elasticity and customer response to pricing changes across different product lines and regions. Evaluate competitive pricing and market positioning to identify opportunities for margin improvement. Support pricing decisions with data-driven insights and scenario modeling. Collaborate with finance and product teams to assess cost structures and recommend optimal pricing strategies. Develop pricing dashboards and tools to track pricing trends, discounting behavior, and promotional effectiveness. Conduct post-implementation analysis of pricing initiatives to measure success and inform future strategies. ______________________________________________________________ Customers Works with internal and external customers on a regular basis. Travel Occasionally ______________________________________________________________ Education and Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. Proven experience as a Data Analyst, with a focus on dashboarding and reporting. Proficiency in Oracle EBS, Power BI, Excel, and Salesforce. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy.
