Job Description

Our Opening and Your Responsibilities The Pricing Analyst (II) is responsible for developing and executing appropriate data techniques and methods to enable increased insight into the business by various global stakeholders. This will be accomplished by leveraging existing in-house tools and methods. Global stakeholders will include multiple functions such as Marketing, Sales, Service, Finance, and Product Development. What you will do Supporting the introduction of new analytics and visualizations that help global management gain insight and make decisions. Leveraging existing tools (SQL, Access, Vendavo, BI, and Tableau/Power BI) to create reports and dashboards that can be used by internal stakeholders. Providing recommendations based upon quantitative and qualitative analysis. Communicating effectively with multiple levels of management. This includes tailoring results and recommendations to meet the needs of different audiences. Providing reports and analysis related to price realization within each local market. Developing specific actionable recommendations with reports to assist units in achieving and exceeding price targets. Analyzing win/loss data to better understand the key underlying drivers impacting price realization in each local market. Supporting Strategic Pricing projects to implement price harmonization across regions; supporting analyses of macro-economic data to help set global prices. Pricing transaction analysis including price banding, transaction waterfalls, promotion effectiveness, discounting controls. Supporting global deal desk for strategic negotiations; analyze yearly sales and pricing performance of customers, benchmark discounts against similar key accounts; evaluate impact on total revenue and margin and review payment shipping terms. Support the management of Vendavo online application through testing and audits. Other duties may be assigned. What You Need to Succeed A bachelor's in a business with the following highly desired: Finance, Marketing, Economics Pricing specific courses or seminars highly desired 3+ years in a global corporate environment Experience in B2B companies strongly preferred Project Management Stake-holder management in a matrix environment Presentations to mid-level and senior management Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize quantitative information and communicate observations in a business context Exposure to pricing theory and practice Business/financial modeling. Ability to mine data and translate business information into models to assist in effective decision making Knowledge of pricing processes, including price monitoring and analysis Baseline knowledge of and proficiency in the use of various data management and visualization tools. Examples include but are not limited to Excel, SQL, Access, Tableau, Power BI ERP pricing module experience (SAP or similar experience) is desired Ideal skills would include detail orientation, can do attitude, analytical and problem-solving skills
