Full Job Description Job Overview:
We are seeking reliable and experienced Independent Contractors to perform property preservation and maintenance services on residential and vacant properties. The contractor will be responsible for completing assigned work orders in a timely, professional, and compliant manner while meeting client and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform general property preservation tasks including: Lawn maintenance (grass cuts, edging, debris removal) Winterization and de-winterization Securing properties (lock changes, boarding windows/doors) Minor repairs (plumbing, drywall, carpentry, etc.) Debris removal and property clean-outs Roof tarping and basic repairs Conduct property inspections and report damages or hazards Take clear before, during, and after photos for documentation Ensure all work meets client guidelines and local regulations Maintain communication regarding job status, delays, or issues Complete work orders within required timelines
Requirements:
Prior experience in property preservation, construction, or maintenance Must have own tools, equipment, and reliable transportation Ability to handle multiple work orders and meet deadlines Smartphone or camera for photo documentation and reporting Basic knowledge of safety practices and property compliance standards Ability to follow detailed instructions and guidelines
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with vendor platforms (e.g., Safeguard, MCS, ServiceLink, etc.) Knowledge of HUD/VA property preservation guidelines General contractor or trade-specific skills (plumbing, electrical, roofing)
Compensation:
Paid per work order (rates vary based on scope of work) Opportunities for consistent volume based on performance Potential for additional assignments in surrounding areas
Work Conditions:
Outdoor and indoor work in varying weather conditions Travel to multiple property locations may be required
Additional Information:
This is an independent contractor (1099) position. Contractors are responsible for their own insurance, taxes, and licensing (if required by local/state regulations).
Pay:
$3,000.00 - $5,000.00 per month
