Job Summary Job Summary The Risk Management Specialist performs technical and administrative duties supporting the District's risk management, workers' compensation, employee leave, benefits, insurance, safety, and compliance programs. This position coordinates claims and leave processes, maintains confidential records, assists with employee benefit administration, and helps ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.   • Associate degree in a related field required (Bachelor's degree preferred). OR Three years of progressively responsible experience in risk management, workers' compensation, employee benefits, human resources, safety compliance, insurance administration, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of risk management, workers' compensation, leave administration, employee benefits, insurance programs, and compliance requirements.
  • Ability to analyze information, prepare reports, interpret laws and regulations, and maintain confidentiality.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
  • Valid California Driver's License and proof of insurability.
  • Successful fingerprint/background clearance and TB clearance
  • Two(2) Letters of Recommendation A completed Employment Application.
