HR & Risk Manager Gancedo Rebar Services Miami, FL Job Details Full-time $75,000 - $95,000 a year 4 days ago Benefits Health insurance Paid time off Life insurance Qualifications Spanish English Research Recruiting Payroll Office management Full Job Description HR & Risk Manager About the Position We are looking for a hands-on HR & Risk Manager to support Gancedo Rebar Services and Florida Lumber. This position will oversee day-to-day HR, safety, insurance, driver/fleet compliance, and risk-management activities for both companies. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable working directly with employees, management, insurance companies, medical providers, attorneys, vendors, and government agencies. This is a hands-on position for someone who can take ownership of responsibilities, stay on top of deadlines, and make sure issues are followed through to completion. As family-operated businesses, we value dedication, honesty, and hard work. Key Responsibilities Human Resources Assist with employee relations and disciplinary matters. Document and track issues with employees and ensure employees are in compliance with company policies. Assist with employee training, safety, and PPE compliance with third-party safety contractor Review weekly timecards and time-off records, and maintain employee job classifications. Ensure employees are compliant with company work hours. Manage employee communications and create/maintain recognition programs. Research HR trends, market compensation comparables, and government policy updates. Assist with job postings, recruiting, candidate screening, and onboarding. Onboarding includes offering and processing benefits such as health and life insurance. Process termination of employees with payroll and insurances Insurance & Risk Management Coordinate workers' compensation claims from initial injury through return to work. Ensure employees are following medical advice and company WC guidelines. Assist with insurance claims by gathering information, photos, videos, and other details as required by our insurance companies, adjusters, attorneys, and other parties. Provide Certificates of Insurance to clients as requested. Ensure hired contractors are insurance compliant. Assist with insurance policy renewals by reviewing policies and comparing benefits and costs. Driver & Vehicle Fleet Compliance Track driver licenses, DOT requirements, drug testing, and annual vehicle inspections. Coordinate vehicle registrations, tags, titles, insurance, and SunPass. Maintain records and ensure required compliance deadlines are met. Qualifications 3+ years of HR, insurance, risk management, office management or related experience preferred. Bilingual in English/Spanish required. Willing to travel between two locations - 20 minute drive between locations Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Strong organizational and follow-up skills. Excellent attention to detail. Ability to handle confidential information. Comfortable working in a hands-on, industrial environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Outlook. Why Join Us?
