Responsibilities:
Director of Risk Management The Director of Risk plays a key role in coordinating multiple facets of the overall risk management process. They manage risk identification, avoidance, and mitigation by collaborating all levels of leadership, provider, front end staff and other stakeholders. They manage the evolving needs of active litigation cases to include investigations, interviews, depositions, gathering of legal hold records and other needs as determined by legal counsel. They are responsible for training leaders, providers and various hospital staff on the risk management program and reporting of incidents. Responsible for the overall risk management program of the hospital and affiliated clinics. They also serve as the Compliance and Ethics Officer for the facility.
Required Qualifications:
RN Director Risk Management Minimum Education:
Must possess a Bachelor's degree in Nursing required. MSN, Healthcare Administration, and MBA strongly preferred.
Minimum Experience:
Five years healthcare experience with at least three years' experience in a leadership role. Prior acute healthcare risk management experience is preferred and can substitute for the leadership experience. Experience working in a for-profit hospital strongly preferred. Must possess strong human relations and interpersonal skills.
Licensure:
Current NM RN license. Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and process improvements experience Experience interacting with regulatory agencies (ie DEA, Board of Pharmacy, CMS) Experience finding number one challenge in mitigating medical legal claims
Pay:
Up to $150,000.00 per year
