As a Senior Specialist in Fixed Income Service, you will support clients in making informed investment decisions by providing guidance, education, and solutions across fixed income products. In this role, you will handle inbound client calls, provide consultative support for clients aligned to their goals, and execute a combination of solicited and unsolicited fixed income trades for clients. You provide expertise on fixed income investments including U.S. Treasuries, certificates of deposits, municipal bonds, corporate bonds, government agency bonds, and preferred securities. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, client-focused environment, and brings a strong growth mindset motivated by continuous learning and professional development. Required Qualifications:
Consultative Communication:
Ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly and build trust with clients
Problem Solving:
Proven ability to resolve challenging client situations and de-escalate when necessary, using empathy, active listening, and professionalism
Critical Thinking:
Ability to evaluate client needs, assess risk, and identify appropriate solutions
Coachability:
Demonstrates openness to feedback, learning agility, and a commitment to continuous improvement
Additional Requirements:
Active FINRA Series 7 license Active FINRA Series 63 or 66 license Experience interacting with clients in a proactive, consultative service environment Strong time management, attention to detail, and risk awareness when executing trades Preferred qualifications: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent professional experience Experience with fixed income products (Treasuries, Municipals, Corporates, CDs, ETFs, etc.) Ability to conduct portfolio-related or investment planning conversations Experience working in a collaborative, team-based environment What's in it for you At Schwab, you're empowered to shape your future.
