Financial Services / Capital Markets About the Opportunity A highly respected and growing financial services firm is seeking a driven, analytical, and detail-oriented individual to join its trading desk as a Trader. This role is ideal for someone passionate about financial markets, execution strategy, and investment analysis who is looking to build a long-term career within the investment management industry. The selected candidate will execute equity and fixed income trades on behalf of clients while supporting internally developed portfolio models and trading strategies. This is a hands-on, fast-paced opportunity offering direct exposure to market dynamics, portfolio implementation, and institutional trading operations. This position is designed for individuals eager to deepen their market expertise and grow into an Investment Analyst role over time, with support toward CFA progression and professional development. Key Responsibilities Execute client trades across equity and fixed income securities with a focus on best execution practices Implement model-driven portfolio strategies accurately and efficiently across client accounts Monitor real-time market activity, order flow, and trading conditions throughout the trading day Assist with trade reconciliation, post-trade reporting, and resolution of trading discrepancies Communicate trade updates, execution details, and market insights internally with sales and client service teams Support senior traders in optimizing execution workflows and model implementation processes Ensure adherence to FINRA, SEC, and internal compliance/risk management standards Participate in transaction cost analysis (TCA) reporting and execution reviews Maintain exceptional accuracy and operational discipline in a fast-moving environment Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related quantitative discipline 0-2 years of experience within trading, capital markets, investment operations, or financial services preferred SIE and Series 7 licenses required Strong understanding of equity market structure, trading workflows, and order types Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with YCharts is a plus Demonstrated interest in investment analysis and portfolio management Commitment to pursuing the CFA designation strongly preferred Strong analytical thinking skills with exceptional attention to detail Ability to remain composed and organized under pressure in a live market environment Collaborative mindset with excellent written and verbal communication skills Career Development Path This role is intentionally structured as a long-term growth opportunity.
