Job Description

U.S. Durum Milling (Richardson USA) is currently searching for a by-products merchant to join our team in St. Louis, Missouri. This position is a key role to the success of the flour mill by sourcing destinations for all the by-products and maximizing revenue with diverse trading positions. Candidates must have commodities trading knowledge, excellent communication skills, and have a creative mindset to solve unique issues.
RESPONSIBILITES
Sell the wheat middlings and second clear flour. Manage a specific long/short trading position using outside markets as well as futures contracts. Work closely with the flour sales team to obtain price objectives. Maintain and grow the customer base. Work with the operations and transportation teams to ensure overall company objectives. Negotiate and manage sales and purchase contracts.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in an agriculture field, or other business degree 2+ years experience in commodities merchandising, grain trading, agricultural sales, procurement, or a related commercial role Strong understanding of commodity markets, pricing strategies, and risk management principles Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and make sound business decisions in a fast-paced environment Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Operations, and Transportation At Richardson, employees enjoy a competitive salary and flexible benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with a company match, paid time off, paid holidays, and opportunities for training and career development.
