Job description Turner & Costa, PC is a fast-paced, high-energy CPA firm that takes pride in producing high-quality work while maintaining a fun, collaborative, and friendly environment. We serve a diverse range of tax clients and value team members who bring enthusiasm, professionalism, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn. We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Tax Intern to join our team for the 2027 tax season. This internship provides an excellent opportunity for accounting students to gain hands-on experience preparing individual federal and state income tax returns while working closely with experienced tax professionals. We provide on-the-job training, so prior tax preparation experience is helpful but not required. We are also happy to assist students who are eligible receive school credit for their internship. Responsibilities Prepare federal and state individual income tax returns under the supervision of tax professionals Organize, review, and analyze tax documents and client information Maintain client confidentiality and follow firm documentation and quality-control procedures Participate in tax return review sessions and incorporate feedback from team members Assist with tax research and special projects as needed Communicate with team members regarding questions or missing information Provide administrative support during the tax season as needed Qualifications Junior or senior accounting major; graduate students are also welcome to apply Completion of a federal income tax course preferred, but not required Basic understanding of tax and accounting principles Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Excellent communication and time-management skills Willingness to learn, ask questions, and contribute to a collaborative team environment Demonstrates initiative, intellectual curiosity, and a positive attitude Ability to work efficiently and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment Schedule & Availability Minimum commitment of three full working days per week Regular work schedule is 8:00am - 5:00pm Ability and willingness to work additional days or hours during peak periods of tax season Fully in-office position at our Westford, MA office; remote and hybrid work are not available Candidates must be able to reliably commute to the Westford office for all scheduled shifts Flexibility to work around academic schedules Weekend availability is welcome based on workload Internship runs approximately 8-10 weeks, from early February through mid-April 2027 Compensation Starting at $20 per hour, based on qualifications and experience. Work Authorization Turner & Costa, PC does not offer employment sponsorship. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.
