Job Description
Overview Our client is seeking an experienced Tax Associate (CPA) to join their growing public accounting firm in Annapolis, Maryland. This is an excellent opportunity for a tax professional who enjoys working directly with clients and preparing a variety of business and individual tax returns in a collaborative, close-knit environment. The ideal candidate will be a licensed CPA with several years of public accounting experience and the ability to provide review-level expertise and sign-off support as needed. This role offers a unique opportunity to become an integral part of a small but growing firm where your contributions will have a direct impact on client relationships and business growth. Our client is currently unable to offer sponsorship. Responsibilities Prepare federal and state tax returns for individuals and businesses Work directly with clients to gather information and address tax-related questions Review financial data and supporting documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance Assist with tax planning and tax compliance activities Research and resolve client tax issues as needed Maintain strong client relationships through timely and professional communication Collaborate with firm leadership and staff to support client service initiatives Contribute to the continued growth and success of the practice Qualifications Active CPA license required 3-5 years of public accounting and tax preparation experience Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field Experience preparing, reviewing, and signing individual and business tax returns Strong knowledge of federal and state tax regulations Excellent communication, organization, and client-facing skills QuickBooks experience preferred Ability to thrive in a collaborative, small-firm environment Check out our Referral Program!
