This opportunity is ideal for a CPA who enjoys working directly with individuals, families, and small-business owners and is interested in developing beyond traditional tax preparation into financial planning, retirement planning, estate planning, and wealth advisory services. Our office is located in Oradell, NJ, just minutes from Paramus. What You'll Do Meet directly with clients and prepare individual income tax returns Prepare partnership and small-business tax returns, including Forms 1065 and selected 1120 filings Assist with fiduciary, trust, estate, and estate-tax returns Work on tax matters involving Forms 1040 and 706 Identify year-round tax-planning opportunities Prepare tax projections for clients Participate in retirement and estate-planning meetings Assist with financial plans, client budgets, and planning presentations Collaborate with financial advisors on tax-sensitive strategies Maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients Participate in business-development opportunities Assist and mentor junior staff based on experience Requirements Active CPA license Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field Approximately 3-10 years of relevant accounting or tax experience Public-accounting firm experience preferred Strong individual and small-business tax knowledge Experience with partnership returns Trust, estate, or fiduciary tax experience is a plus Strong client-facing communication skills Excellent attention to detail and organizational ability Ability to work independently and collaboratively Growth-oriented and entrepreneurial mindset Lacerte experience is a plus QuickBooks, Microsoft Office, and Excel proficiency preferred Benefits Exposure to both tax and wealth-management services Opportunity to participate in estate, retirement, and financial planning Potential to pursue additional credentials such as the CFP Collaborative and growth-oriented environment Direct interaction with clients and firm leadership Competitive salary, bonus potential, and benefits based on experience
