Expected Salary Range:

A partner firm of Elevate located in Union Square, New York City is seeking an experienced Tax Senior to join its growing team. This role is ideal for a tax professional with 3-5 years of public accounting experience who enjoys working with a diverse client base and preparing a variety of tax returns. The successful candidate will assist with tax compliance, tax planning support, client communications, and year-round tax-related projects. Key Responsibilities Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for: Individuals (Form 1040) Corporations (C-Corp and S-Corp) Partnerships Trusts and Estates (preferred) Prepare tax workpapers and supporting documentation. Analyze financial statements, general ledgers, and client records to ensure accurate tax reporting. Research tax issues and assist with resolving tax notices and compliance matters. Communicate directly with clients to gather information and address tax-related questions. Assist with tax planning projects and special engagements. Maintain current knowledge of tax laws, regulations, and filing requirements. Collaborate with firm leadership and team members to meet deadlines during busy seasons. Qualifications Required Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. 3-5 years of public accounting tax experience. Experience preparing individual and business tax returns. Strong understanding of federal and state tax compliance. Proficiency with tax preparation software and Microsoft Excel. Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple engagements and meet deadlines. Preferred CPA license or active CPA candidate preferred. Experience with multi-state tax filings. Experience working with closely held businesses and high-net-worth individuals. Exposure to tax planning and consulting engagements. Desired Attributes Detail-oriented and highly organized.
