A Tax Specialist is responsible for documenting all stages of the accounting cycle in order to prepare Federal, State and local tax returns. Will review data prior to preparing the returns, prepare and file returns and will also provide background documentation in case of an audit.

We are a rapidly growing public accounting firm located in Northeast Ohio. We have a well-established reputation for providing quality accounting, consulting, and tax services to clients in a wide range of industries. What You'll Do-Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, partnerships, S corporations, C corporations, trusts, and nonprofit organizations
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships by providing exceptional service and proactive tax guidance
  • Research complex tax issues and communicate findings clearly to clients and team members
  • Assist with tax planning strategies to help clients minimize tax liabilities and achieve financial goals
  • Mentor and train junior staff while reviewing their work and providing constructive feedback
  • Collaborate with partners and managers on special projects and consulting engagements
  • Stay current on changing tax laws and regulations.
What We're Looking For-Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • CPA license or CPA candidate preferred
  • 3+ years of public accounting tax experience
  • Experience preparing business and individual tax returns
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state tax regulations
  • Excellent communication and client relationship skills
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with tax preparation software and Microsoft Office.
