A Tax Specialist is responsible for documenting all stages of the accounting cycle in order to prepare Federal, State and local tax returns. Will review data prior to preparing the returns, prepare and file returns and will also provide background documentation in case of an audit.

CPA exam support and continuous professional development Key Responsibilities Prepare and review complex federal and state tax returns for individuals, partnerships, and corporations. Identify tax planning opportunities and research complex tax issues to provide actionable client solutions. Act as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries and building strong relationships. Guide, mentor, and review the work of junior tax associates. Assist with IRS and state tax audits, notices, and correspondence.
Qualifications Experience:
3+ years of public accounting tax experience.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
License:
CPA license or active progress toward obtaining a CPA is highly preferred.
Skills:
Proficiency with tax software (e.g., UltraTax, ProSystem fx, or CCH Axcess).
