Job DescriptionJob Description Senior Tax Associate - RVA Area Full-Time | Monday-Friday MAGNIFY is seeking an experienced Tax Associate to join a fast-growing, client-focused accounting firm in the Richmond area. This is more than a traditional tax prep role - you'll partner directly with clients, help navigate complex tax situations, and play a meaningful role in a high-growth environment serving dynamic and creative businesses. What You'll Do Review and prepare individual, partnership, and S-Corporation tax returns in compliance with federal and state regulations Collect, organize, and analyze client financial documentation for accuracy and completeness Provide guidance on tax credits, deductions, planning strategies, and compliance matters Stay current on evolving tax laws, regulations, and filing procedures Support new client onboarding by gathering documentation and setting up accounts Review completed returns for discrepancies prior to filing Partner directly with clients and internal team members to resolve tax-related questions Maintain organized and accurate records of tax filings and communications Contribute to overall tax strategy and planning initiatives for assigned clients What We're Looking For Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 2-4 years of tax preparation experience (individual and S-Corp preferred) Experience preparing Forms 1040, Partnership, and S-Corporation returns EA or CPA preferred Proficiency in QuickBooks and Excel Strong understanding of tax laws and filing requirements Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills High attention to detail and accuracy Strong communication skills with a client-service mindset Experience with high-volume individual tax preparation is a plus Why You'll Love It Here Work closely with experienced leadership and mentors Exposure to complex tax planning and advisory work Opportunity to build direct client relationships Collaborative, professional, and entrepreneurial team environment Clear growth path within a rapidly expanding firm Competitive benefits package including retirement plan and health coverage Opportunity for long-term career advancement and expanded responsibilities
