Job Summary:

The Accounting Specialist aids in processing claims and receivables and facilitating collections for AAA Moving and Storage. This is an in-person position at our Anchorage, AK facility. Compensation will be $23-$25 per hour depending on experience.

Essential Functions and Duties:

Post receivables into accounting software subsequent to appropriate research of the payment. Process credit card payments for monthly storage after verifying invoices have been generated and posted to accounting software. Ensure collections efforts are conducting according to the regulations of the State of Alaska and the state within which the customer resides. Assemble paperwork to send to attorney for collection purposes, as needed. Work assigned shifts. Other responsibilities, as assigned.

Knowledge of, or ability to learn, company software Knowledge of, or ability to learn accounting software Strong interpersonal skills for communicating over the phone and through writing Knowledge of accounting/general bookkeeping procedures Knowledge and/or proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite products.
