Jobs › South Egremont, MA › Treasurer / Collector Town of Egremont Treasurer / Collector South Egremont, MA Apply The Town of Egremont is seeking qualified applicants for the Full-time, 40 hour, benefited position of Treasurer/Collector. The Town of Egremont is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Treasurer/Collector to oversee municipal revenue collection, cash management, payroll processing, banking relationships, investments, and financial recordkeeping. This key leadership position is responsible for managing tax billing and collections, conducting bank reconciliations, preparing financial reports, supporting audits, and ensuring the accurate and efficient management of Town funds.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Associate\'s degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred. (or equivalent education and experience)
- Strong knowledge of accounting practices, payroll, financial reporting, and computerized accounting systems
- Have or will obtain considerable knowledge of municipal/ funding accounting principles and practices applicable to the Town
- Excellent communication, organizational, and customer service skills
