Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Abstract Tax Research Clerk to join our team on a part-time basis. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting comprehensive research on property titles, analyzing legal descriptions, and reviewing public records to ensure accurate and thorough title information. Your work will support real estate transactions, title processing, and underwriting activities, ensuring compliance with legal standards and company guidelines. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about real estate law, research, and documentation review to contribute to a dynamic team dedicated to excellence in property management and transaction support. This position is responsible for contacting municipalities, tax offices, and other government agencies by telephone to obtain current and accurate property tax information. The information gathered will be used to prepare tax reports for our clients. Responsibilities Contact municipal tax offices, town offices, county offices, and other government agencies by telephone. Request and obtain current property tax information. Ask specific questions and accurately record information provided by municipal employees. Research tax balances, payment information, due dates, exemptions, assessments, and other relevant tax data. Enter information accurately into our computer system. Prepare clear and accurate tax reports based on the information obtained. Follow up with municipalities when information is incomplete or unavailable. Maintain organized records of research and telephone calls. Meet daily deadlines and production requirements. Communicate professionally with municipal personnel and Nationwide staff. Bring discrepancies or unusual findings to the attention of a supervisor. Requirements Be very comfortable speaking on the telephone and making frequent outgoing calls. Have excellent verbal communication skills. Be extremely detail-oriented and accurate . Be comfortable speaking with municipal and government employees. Be patient and persistent when information is difficult to obtain. Have good listening skills and the ability to understand and record information accurately. Be comfortable using a computer and entering information while speaking on the telephone. Be organized and able to manage multiple assignments. Be dependable and able to meet deadlines. Be able to work independently while also functioning as part of a team. Join us in this exciting role. Pay:
