Job Description
Jr. Tax Manager (EA) North San Diego County, CA $130,000-$150,000 annually, depending on experience, credentials, and qualifications Are you a tax professional who enjoys building long-term client relationships, developing tax strategies, and mentoring team members? Our client, a growing public accounting and advisory firm, is seeking an experienced Junior Tax Manager to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a tax professional who thrives in a collaborative environment, values client service, and is looking to take the next step in their career with a respected and expanding firm. Responsibilities Prepare and review individual, partnership, S corporation, C corporation, trust, and fiduciary tax returns Meet with clients throughout the year to discuss tax planning opportunities and provide proactive tax guidance Prepare tax estimates, projections, and multi-year tax planning analyses Advise clients on pass-through entity taxation, including S corporations, partnerships, and PTET planning strategies Review work prepared by staff and provide mentorship, technical guidance, and training Research and resolve complex federal and state tax issues Manage client relationships while ensuring timely, accurate, and high-quality deliverables Utilize industry-standard tax software and practice management systems to oversee workflow, tax preparation, and client communication Assist with process improvements, workflow efficiencies, and best-practice initiatives Collaborate with firm leadership and team members to support continued growth and client success Qualifications Active Enrolled Agent (EA) credential preferred 4-6 years of public accounting tax experience Strong technical knowledge of federal and California tax regulations Experience with tax planning, projections, estimates, and advisory services Experience working with partnerships, S corporations, and other pass-through entities Prior experience reviewing tax returns and providing oversight to junior staff Familiarity with tax preparation and practice management software Excellent communication, organizational, and client relationship skills Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines Compensation & Benefits Competitive base salary: $130,000-$150,000 Performance-based bonus opportunities Comprehensive health benefits Paid time off and company holidays Retirement savings plan Continuing education and professional development support Collaborative and team-oriented work environment Long-term growth and leadership opportunities If you're looking for an opportunity to make a meaningful impact, work closely with clients, and advance your career within a growing tax and accounting practice, we encourage you to apply.
