- $160,000 per year The Role We are seeking an experienced and client-focused Tax Manager to join our established boutique accounting and advisory firm.
Since our founding in 1946, we have proudly served the Tampa Bay community, specializing in comprehensive, strategic family-wide tax planning and closely held business consultation. As a Tax Manager, you will serve as a key partner to our clients, many of whom have trusted us across three to four generations. This is a collaborative, high-touch advisory role where you will manage complex workflows, drive technical tax strategy, and help preserve client wealth across generations.
Key Responsibilities Tax Compliance & Review:
Oversee and review federal and state tax returns for closely held businesses (S-Corps, Partnerships, C-Corps) and high-net-worth individuals.
Strategic Planning:
Deliver proactive, family-wide tax planning, focusing on wealth preservation, multi-generational succession planning, and cash flow optimization.
Estate & Trust Collaboration:
Work closely with our specialized Estate & Trust Director to implement sophisticated estate tax strategies and trust administration plans.
Real Estate & Specialty Advisory:
Provide technical tax structuring and transactional consulting for complex real estate holdings, partnerships, and private investments.
Team Leadership & Mentorship:
Guide, train, and develop senior and staff accountants, fostering a supportive environment that prioritizes professional growth and technical excellence.
Requirements Experience:
5+ years of progressive public accounting experience, with a heavy focus on closely held businesses, HNWIs, and pass-through entities.
Education & Credentials:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting; active CPA License or Enrolled Agent (EA) designation required.
Technical Skills:
Deep knowledge of corporate, partnership, and individual taxation. Exposure to estate/trust planning, gift tax, or real estate structuring is highly valued.
