full-time Indirect Tax Manager | Hybrid | $140,000 to $190,000 +Bonus/Benefits A growing organization is looking to add an Indirect Tax Manager to its team. This is an opportunity to take ownership of indirect tax compliance and reporting, partner with internal teams, and help drive process improvements across a complex, multi-state operation. Responsibilities Manage and oversee sales and use tax, excise tax, property tax, and other indirect tax compliance requirements. Review tax returns, filings, payments, and supporting workpapers to ensure accuracy and timely submission. Monitor changes in state and local tax laws and assess their impact on the business. Partner with accounting, finance, legal, and operational teams on tax-related matters. Manage relationships with external tax advisors and taxing authorities. Support audits, notices, and tax authority inquiries. Identify opportunities to improve tax processes, reporting, and compliance efficiency. Assist with tax research, planning, and special projects, including business expansions, acquisitions, and system implementations. Provide guidance and mentorship to team members as applicable. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 5+ years of progressive indirect tax experience, preferably in a corporate or public accounting environment. Strong knowledge of sales and use tax, property tax, and other applicable indirect tax requirements. Experience managing multi-state tax compliance and audits. Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to research tax issues, interpret regulations, and communicate recommendations to stakeholders. Experience with tax technology, ERP systems, and Microsoft Excel. CPA, CMI, or other relevant tax certification is a plus. Why Consider This Opportunity?
