Tax Manager Location:
Fully Onsite Salary:
$120,000 – $150,000 Position Summary We are seeking an experienced and strategic Tax Manager to join our team in a key leadership role. The ideal candidate will be a CPA with at least 10 years of progressive tax experience and a strong background in tax planning, compliance, and financial strategy. This position requires a creative and collaborative professional who can effectively communicate complex tax matters, build strong relationships across the organization, and identify opportunities to improve tax processes and minimize risk. Responsibilities Oversee and manage federal, state, and local tax compliance, ensuring accurate and timely filings. Lead tax planning and strategy initiatives while identifying opportunities to optimize the organization's overall tax position. Research and interpret changes in tax laws and regulations and communicate their impact to executive leadership and key stakeholders. Partner with accounting, finance, and operational teams to ensure accurate tax reporting and compliance. Manage relationships with external tax advisors, auditors, and regulatory agencies as needed. Review tax provisions, reconciliations, and supporting schedules to ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable accounting standards. Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, strengthen internal controls, and improve tax reporting. Support special projects, acquisitions, business initiatives, and other strategic activities from a tax perspective. Provide mentorship and guidance to accounting and finance team members while promoting a collaborative, high-performance environment. Requirements CPA certification required. Minimum 10 years of progressive tax experience , preferably with a combination of public accounting and private industry experience. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required. Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations and compliance requirements. Proven experience with tax planning, research, compliance, and tax strategy. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to clearly explain complex tax matters to both financial and non-financial audiences. Creative, strategic thinker with the ability to identify innovative solutions to complex tax and business challenges. Highly collaborative and able to build strong relationships with cross-functional teams and executive leadership. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel and tax/accounting software systems.
Compensation Base Salary:
