Full-time About the Role The Tax Supervisor oversees client engagements, manages a portfolio of business, and provides leadership to tax staff. This role combines technical expertise in tax compliance and planning with strong leadership skills to ensure high-quality client service, staff development, and business growth. Client & Technical Ownership Manage a book of business by building, developing, and maintaining strong client relationships. Serve as an expert in preparing and reviewing corporate tax returns (1065, 1120, 1120S) and high-net-worth individual returns (1040). Provide advanced expertise in trust and estate planning, including estate, trust, and gift tax compliance, individual income tax, and foreign financial reporting. Hold responsibility for the technical quality and financial performance of assigned tax clients. Lead client service delivery, ensuring solutions are effective, proactive, and aligned with client needs. Team Leadership Oversee, mentor, and train senior associates and staff, ensuring continuous professional growth and technical development. Actively participate in staff development initiatives, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment. Collaborate with colleagues across regions and functions to provide integrated service offerings and support firmwide initiatives. Develop and implement business plans while guiding staff in their client-facing roles. Key Performance Indicators Book of business retained and grown year over year. Senior associates and staff under this role's mentorship show measurable technical and professional growth. Client engagements delivered proactively, with issues surfaced and resolved before they escalate. QualificationsRequired Bachelor's degree in Accounting required. Minimum 7 years of experience in public accounting. Proven ability to establish and maintain strong client relationships. Strong accounting, tax, and analytical skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required; experience with QuickBooks a plus. Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Ability to work additional hours as required to meet client deliverables. Preferred CPA license. Experience with CCH ProSystem fx, CCH Planner, BNA, and PPC software.
