Across North America, we support customers through equipment sales, service, software, consumables, and technical expertise. As our business continues to grow throughout the United States and Canada, we are seeking an experienced Tax Supervisor to become our international, internal tax expert and trusted advisor to the business. This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced CPA looking to transition into an industry leadership role. You'll partner directly with senior leadership, collaborate with outside tax advisors, and play an integral role in supporting the Company's continued growth. Why This Role? This is a highly hands-on role. While the position serves as the Company's primary tax resource and owner of the North American tax function, the successful candidate will personally prepare workpapers, coordinate filings, manage registrations, respond to tax notices, perform tax research, and support compliance activities. This position does not have direct reports and is ideal for a tax professional who enjoys both technical tax work and business partnership. Prepare annual tax workpapers and supporting documentation. Serve as the primary liaison with external tax advisors. Review tax returns for accuracy and completeness. Research complex tax issues and support tax planning initiatives. Assist with quarterly and annual tax provision activities. State and Local Tax (SALT) Monitor nexus and filing requirements as the business expands. Coordinate registrations in new states and provinces. Monitor legislative changes affecting tax compliance. Assist with audits, notices, and regulatory filings. Sales and Use Tax Prepare and review sales and use tax filings. Monitor economic nexus requirements. Support exemption certificate administration. Partner with Accounting and Operations to improve compliance processes. Process Improvement & Strategic Projects Improve tax processes, documentation, and internal controls. Maintain tax calendars and filing schedules. Support acquisitions, new entity formation, and business restructuring. Participate in strategic initiatives with tax implications.
