Job Description
Description We are looking for an experienced Tax Manager to join a dynamic public accounting firm in Hamilton, Ohio. In this role, you will oversee tax planning and compliance efforts while working closely with clients to provide strategic solutions. Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the preparation and review of tax returns, including corporate, partnership, and individual filings.
- Provide strategic tax planning and compliance guidance to clients, ensuring adherence to current laws and regulations.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships by delivering exceptional service and addressing their tax-related needs.
- Analyze complex tax issues and develop effective solutions to support clients' financial goals.
- Lead and mentor a team of tax professionals, fostering growth and development within the department.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations, staying up-to-date on changes in tax legislation.
- Collaborate with clients on entity formation and structuring to maximize tax benefits.
- Utilize tax software, such as CCH ProSystem Fx and CCH Sales Tax, to streamline processes and ensure accuracy.
- Manage annual income tax provisions and ensure timely filings.
- Handle engagement management responsibilities, including planning, budgeting, and client communication. Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in public accounting with a focus on tax management.
- A bachelor's or master's degree in accounting or related field.
- CPA or EA licensure is required.
- Strong technical knowledge of tax laws and regulations, with the ability to analyze and resolve complex tax issues.
- Proficiency in using tax software, such as CCH ProSystem Fx and CCH Sales Tax.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with clients and team members.
- Demonstrated experience in engagement management, including planning and client interaction.
- Familiarity with tax laws for pass-through entities and corporate tax return preparation.
