Summary Our client is seeking an experienced and client-focused Tax Manager to join their growing CPA firm. The Tax Manager will oversee tax compliance and consulting engagements for a diverse client base, including privately held businesses, high-net-worth individuals, partnerships, S corporations, trusts, and nonprofit organizations. The Tax Manager is responsible for managing tax compliance and consulting engagements for a diverse client base, while ensuring exceptional client service and adherence to firm quality standards. This role serves as a key leader within the tax department, overseeing staff development, engagement workflow, and client relationships. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in public accounting, strong technical tax expertise, and proficiency with CCH ProSystem fx Tax and CCH Engagement. The Tax Manager will work closely with partners and staff to deliver timely, accurate, and value-driven tax services while contributing to the firm's long-term growth and success. Key Responsibilities Manage and review the preparation of federal, state, and local tax returns Provide proactive tax planning and consulting services Serve as primary contact for assigned clients Supervise, mentor, and train tax staff Manage engagement budgets, staffing, and deadlines Assist with business development and proposals Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting CPA license in good standing 5 - 8+ years of public accounting tax experience Strong knowledge of federal and state taxation Excellent communication and project management skills Key Competencies Technical tax expertise Client service orientation Leadership and coaching Critical thinking and problem solving Business development mindset Success Measures Quality and accuracy of tax engagements Timely completion of projects Staff development and retention Client satisfaction and retention Engagement profitability
