Job Description
Audit & Tax Manager - CPA Firm (Kirkland, WA) Are you an Accounting & Auditing Manager with strong analytical and research skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, delivering exceptional client service? Our client, a locally owned and well-established CPA firm, has an exciting opening for a Accounting & Auditing Manager. The ideal candidate will be highly detail-oriented, technically proficient in both A&A and Tax , responsive to client needs, and able to adapt quickly to changing priorities while maintaining the highest standards of quality and accuracy. Hybrid work schedule (2 days in-office) after introductory/training period is completed. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Primary focus: Possess and maintain advanced technical knowledge of accounting and auditing standards (GAAP/SSARS/GAAS) and apply that knowledge in the planning, execution, review, and completion of assurance engagements Secondary focus: Possess and maintain advanced technical knowledge of federal and state tax laws (individual, partnership, corporate and fiduciary) sufficient to effectively review tax engagements, identify planning opportunities, and advise clients on tax-related matters Plan, manage, and review engagements, ensuring technical accuracy, compliance, and timely completion Manage and oversee multiple client engagements simultaneously Develop and maintain trusted client relationships by providing responsive, proactive, and high-quality service Mentor, supervise, train, and review the work of staff while fostering their professional development Effectively communicate with and on behalf of clients Possess an understanding and appreciation for the profession of public accounting, including all the career benefits and nuances associated with it, and a strong desire and commitment to pursue a career in this profession Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent experience Minimum of five (5) years experience in public accounting Active CPA license required Prior experience and expertise with real estate related clients a plus Technically skilled and able to plan, manage, and review complex tax engagements Proficient in Microsoft Office (e.g. Excel, Word) and able to quickly learn and effectively use tax, accounting, document management, and research software (e.g., Lacerte, Thomson Reuters Suite, SurePrep, QuickBooks) Demonstrated leadership skills, including the ability to supervise, train, develop, and review the work of staff Ability to work both independently and collaboratively while maintaining a high level of professionalism, confidentiality, and client service Successful completion of a background check (including criminal and credit) as a condition of employment
