full-time Our client, a large and growing national organization, is seeking a Senior Manager, Transaction Tax to join its finance leadership team. This role offers the opportunity to lead a high-performing tax function within a complex, multi-entity environment while partnering closely with accounting, finance, technology, and operational stakeholders. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in indirect taxation, proven leadership experience, and a passion for process improvement, compliance, and team development. Key Responsibilities Lead and develop a team of tax professionals responsible for indirect tax compliance and reporting activities. Oversee the preparation, review, and filing of various state and local tax returns. Ensure compliance with applicable tax laws and regulations across multiple jurisdictions. Manage tax audits, notices, inquiries, and related risk mitigation efforts. Strengthen internal controls and support compliance initiatives, including SOX-related activities. Conduct technical tax research and provide guidance on complex tax matters. Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess potential business impact. Partner cross-functionally with finance, accounting, operations, and technology teams. Drive process improvements, automation initiatives, and system enhancements. Develop scalable processes that support organizational growth while maintaining compliance. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA preferred. 8+ years of progressive indirect tax experience. Prior experience leading and developing teams. Strong knowledge of multistate tax compliance and tax research. Experience supporting audits and regulatory examinations. Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
