Job Description

Senior Tax Manager Our client, a well-established public accounting firm, is seeking a Senior Manager of Tax to lead tax engagements and support a diverse portfolio of clients.

Location:

Sacramento, CA. This position follows a hybrid work schedule, 3 days/week in the office. This role will focus on delivering high-quality tax compliance and advisory services while building strong client relationships and mentoring team members. The ideal candidate is a technically strong tax professional with a client-focused mindset and the ability to operate effectively in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities:

Lead and manage tax engagements across a variety of client types, including complex individual and entity structures Develop and maintain strong client relationships by delivering proactive tax planning and advisory services Review complex tax returns and filings, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable tax laws and regulations Provide technical guidance on tax matters and support the resolution of complex issues Mentor and develop tax staff, providing coaching and professional growth opportunities Stay current on changes in tax legislation and communicate implications to clients and internal teams Partner with leadership to enhance client service delivery and identify opportunities for additional advisory support Ensure high standards of quality, timeliness, and client satisfaction across engagements

Requirements:

CPA designation required 7+ years of progressive tax experience Strong technical knowledge of tax laws and regulations Experience managing client relationships and delivering advisory services Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Experience working with complex tax structures and planning strategies preferred
