Job Description
Tax Manager | West Palm Beach | $110,000 to $135,000 Must have recent, Public Accounting experience and a CPA license. If you've ever liked the idea of helping run a firm without having to go out and build one from scratch, this is worth a conversation. This won't suit everyone, but for someone who likes small firms, client contact and proper responsibility, it could be a very good move. Partner is on the table for day one too. The West Palm Beach office has around 900 clients, many of whom have been with the firm for decades. Two of the current Partners are planning to retire over the next few years, so they need a CPA who can come in, help run the office and become a key person within the firm. You'll manage staff, handle client relationships, review work and still prepare returns when needed. It's a small firm environment, so everyone gets involved. The client base is broad, covering local businesses, Partnerships, High Net Worth individuals and International clients. The office is also still transitioning towards being fully paperless. Some clients still like coming in, some still prefer paper, and the person joining needs to be comfortable with that while helping the firm move forward. The first 6 months would be fully in office, with scope for one or two days from home after that. Busy season doesn't have billable hour targets, t he focus is on getting the work done, supporting the team and looking after clients. They're ideally looking for a CPA with 5+ years of Public Accounting experience who is comfortable preparing and reviewing tax work, mentoring staff and being client facing. Salary is around $110,000 to $135,000, with health, dental and vision cover, life insurance, 401(k), annual bonus and
