SafewayTax is a fast-growing tax resolution and tax preparation firm dedicated to helping individuals and businesses resolve their tax issues and stay compliant with the IRS and state taxing authorities. We are looking for an experienced Tax Preparer who is detail-oriented, client-focused, and passionate about providing exceptional service. If you have experience preparing individual and business tax returns and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, we'd love to hear from you! Responsibilities Prepare accurate federal and state individual and business tax returns. Review client documentation for completeness and accuracy. Analyze financial records and tax documents to ensure proper reporting. Communicate with clients to obtain missing information and answer tax-related questions. Prepare amended tax returns when necessary. Complete amendment reviews Ensure compliance with current IRS and state tax laws. Maintain detailed and accurate client records. Work closely with Case Managers and Tax Resolution staff to ensure a smooth client experience. Meet established production and quality standards while maintaining a high level of accuracy. Minimum Qualifications Minimum of one (1) year of professional tax preparation experience (required). Valid
IRS PTIN
(Preparer Tax Identification Number) (required). Current CTEC Certification (required). Strong knowledge of federal and California tax laws. Experience preparing individual tax returns; business return experience is a plus. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently while managing multiple cases. Proficiency with tax preparation software and Microsoft Office.
