In this role, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and compliant tax returns for individuals, businesses, and organizations. Your expertise in tax laws, accounting principles, and regulatory requirements will ensure clients receive optimal tax solutions while adhering to all legal standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to leverage your financial acumen and technical skills to deliver exceptional service and support clients through complex tax scenarios. Your proactive approach and strong communication skills will be key in providing clear guidance and building lasting client relationships. Duties Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, trusts, and estates with precision and compliance Conduct thorough analysis of financial documents including income statements, balance sheets, and transaction records to ensure accuracy in tax reporting Assist clients with tax planning strategies, including estate planning, mergers & acquisitions, and investment considerations to optimize their financial outcomes Stay current with evolving tax laws, regulations such as SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act), GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), and securities law to ensure all filings meet legal standards Reconcile accounts, perform double entry bookkeeping, and prepare financial statements in accordance with regulatory compliance accounting practices Utilize advanced accounting software like Quicken or specialized tax software to streamline data entry, reporting, and analysis Communicate complex tax concepts clearly to clients, providing guidance on individual tax issues, corporate tax compliance, and regulatory reporting requirements Experience Proven experience in tax preparation with a strong background in individual and corporate tax accounting Demonstrated knowledge of accounting principles such as GAAP, technical accounting standards, and regulatory compliance accounting practices Familiarity with financial concepts including balance sheet reconciliation, financial report writing & interpretation, and financial statement preparation Experience working within public accounting firms or corporate finance departments preferred Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data accurately and identify discrepancies or areas for improvement Excellent client communication skills to explain complex tax issues clearly and professionally Knowledge of estate planning tools such as wills, trusts & estate law is a plus but not mandatory Join us if you're passionate about delivering top-tier tax solutions while expanding your expertise in a fast-paced environment!
