Position Summary:
We're seeking an experienced, client-focused Seasonal Tax Preparer to join our team for tax season, roughly January through April. This role prepares individual tax returns, advises clients on filing options, and supports overall client satisfaction during our busiest months.
Key Responsibilities Tax Preparation:
Prepare and review individual tax returns accurately and efficiently.
Client Consultation:
Meet with clients to gather documentation, answer tax-related questions, and explain filing options and outcomes.
Compliance:
Ensure returns comply with current federal and state tax laws and firm quality standards.
Document Review:
Verify accuracy and completeness of client-submitted documents; flag missing or inconsistent information.
Client Communication:
Provide timely updates on return status and respond to client inquiries professionally.
Confidentiality:
Maintain strict client privacy and data security standards.
Qualifications:
Prior tax preparation experience required (PTIN required; EA or CPA a plus). Strong knowledge of individual tax law. Excellent communication and client service skills. Fluent in English; Spanish-speaking is a plus. Comfort with tax software and digital document systems (experience with TaxDome or similar a plus). Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently under seasonal deadlines
Pay:
$25.00 per hour + commission (top performers can earn $30,000+ during tax season)
