Job Summary As a Tax Preparer, you will be responsible for preparing accurate tax returns, identifying potential deductions and credits, and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations. You will work directly with other team members to review financial records, evaluate tax saving opportunities, and develop a deep federal tax knowledge. Key Responsibilities Prepare tax returns for individuals and small businesses, ensuring accuracy and compliance with current tax laws Collect and review client financial documents, including income statements and expense records Identify potential tax credits, deductions, and liabilities to maximize client benefits Review previous tax returns for errors and carryovers Stay updated on changes in tax regulations and best practices Provide exceptional client service and resolve client inquiries Qualifications Bachelor's degree required, with focus in accounting, finance, or related field preferred 1-2 years of experience in tax preparation, accounting, or related field preferred Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Proficiency with computers and Microsoft suite of products Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information Customer service orientation and attention to detail Preferred Qualifications Professional certification (e.g., CPA) Experience with client service and professional communication Knowledge of federal, state, and local tax codes Why Join Us?
