United Pro Tax is looking for ambitious, dependable and fully bilingual professionals who want an opportunity to build a career in taxation and financial services. This is not simply a data-entry position. Our tax preparers educate clients, explain tax returns clearly, build long-term relationships and help families and business owners make informed decisions. More than 90% of our clients are Spanish-speaking. Candidates must speak fluent, professional Spanish and communicate effectively in English. Interviews will be conducted primarily in Spanish to verify fluency.
ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
This position is initially seasonal for the 2027 tax season. Outstanding employees may be considered for continued or year-round employment based on performance, accuracy, attendance, professionalism, client service and the needs of the company. We provide structured in-house training because United Pro Tax has a specific method for reviewing and presenting tax returns to clients. Candidates must be open to coaching and willing to learn our process. Prior tax-preparation experience is helpful, but we are especially interested in candidates who are serious about developing a long-term career in taxation.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare accurate individual tax returns. Interview clients in Spanish and English. Review completed tax returns directly with clients. Explain income, deductions, credits, refunds and balances clearly. Collect and organize required documentation. Identify missing or inconsistent client information. Maintain complete and accurate client files. Follow company procedures and confidentiality standards. Deliver professional and respectful customer service. Participate in required in-house training. Work cooperatively with senior preparers, management and front-desk personnel. Meet production, accuracy and client-service expectations.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Fluent Spanish is required. Effective English communication is required. Strong customer-service and interpersonal skills. Excellent attention to detail. Comfortable working with numbers, documents and computer systems. Willingness to accept feedback and follow established procedures. Reliable transportation and dependable attendance. Availability throughout the entire tax season. Availability for a schedule that may include weekdays, evenings and weekends. Ability to obtain or maintain a valid IRS Preparer Tax Identification Number. Authorization to work in the United States.

COMPENSATION AND SCHEDULE
$20-$22 per hour + benefits, based on experience and demonstrated qualifications. Seasonal employment through approximately April 15, 2027. Approximately 40 hours per week during tax season. Weekend and evening availability is required. Overtime is limited and requires advance approval. Performance incentives may be available but are not guaranteed. Year-round employment may be offered to exceptional employees, depending on performance and business needs.
