Job Description

Overall purpose and objective of position: Deliver exceptional member service by efficiently processing a variety of financial transactions with accuracy and attention to detail. Ensure precise record-keeping of all transactions while assisting members with their savings, checking, and credit account needs. Additionally, offer member products and services to support the credit union's mission of creating a place where people feel they belong and can have all their financial needs met.
Essential Responsibilities:
1.
Processing Transactions :
Conduct a variety of member transactions to include but not limited to deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and transfers with accuracy and efficiency. 2.
Member Service:
Smile, greet, and welcome each member. Assist with their banking needs, answering questions, and providing a positive experience. 3.
Cash Handling:
Managing cash drawer, balancing cash at the end of each shift, and ensuring accuracy in cash transactions. 4.
Promote Products and Services:
Informing members about credit union products such as savings and checking accounts, loans, credit cards, mortgage loans and electronic services to meet their financial needs. 5.
Maintain Security Procedures:
Following protocols to prevent fraud, theft, and confidentiality of member information. 6.
Record Keeping:
Maintain accurate records of transactions and updating member accounts as needed. 7.
Compliance:
Adhere to all banking regulations, policies, and procedures. 8.
Problem Resolution:
Address and resolve member concerns or discrepancies promptly and professionally. 9.
Team Collaboration:
Work effectively with other staff member to ensure smooth branch operations. 10. Report malfunctions of any equipment used at the teller station to supervisor. 11. Other duties as assigned. Minimum qualifications, required or desired KSAs (competencies), and required or desired licenses or certifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong member service skills, attention to detail and basic math skills- to include counting cash and provide change efficiently and effectively, are essential.
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to ethical conduct and integrity.
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills.
  • Flexibility and ability to multitask Good knowledge of Microsoft Office products or similar software programs including email, word processing and spreadsheet software.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods standing or sitting at desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at a time. Must pass a drug screening, background check, and credit check.

Pay:
$18.00 - $20.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
